The new documentary "A Most Beautiful Thing" is a tale that is very prescient in our current world. Director Mary Mazzio and subject Arshay Cooper took some time to sit down with the Network's Jeremy Goeckner to talk about making the film and the various messages it deals with.

The film chronicles the first African American high school rowing team in the nation (made up of young men from the West Side of Chicago, many of whom were from rival gangs, all coming together to row in the same boat.) Based on Arshay Cooper’s self-published memoir.

“Rowing is as old as time itself. And for so long the terrain of favorite sons of famous families in places far, far away from the West Side; light years away.” Mary Mazzio’s new documentary A Most Beautiful Thing is about the first African American high school rowing team in the US. At least that’s what you would think at first glance. As the film slowly unfolds it becomes very clear that what this film is up to runs much, much deeper.

WWE has pushed forward in the months since the COVID-19 outbreak in the US. It hasn't been easy but they've been able to build on some storylines and give us one of the best champions we've had in a long time in Drew McIntyre. We've seen yet another evolution in these live shows as WWE has now taken to adding a limited audience by having upwards of 50 WWE trainees at social distances in the arena while separating the ring with plexiglass panels. It's added much to retrieving the old feeling of having a crowd and we might even have more evolution that we'll talk about later.

Beyond the Mouse is breaking down all 22 Pixar movies for you! We asked the entire Front Row Network group of hosts to rank the films, and special guest Erin McCabe is here to give us the results.

This week!  It’s an Early Adopter Bonanza!  Alex & Getty played the darling indie co-op puzzler Pode, Resident Evil Resistance, and Getty ran through the naughty but not lewd Dead or School while Joel played the freshly released meditative indie In Other Waters.  News includes an i-robot esque Sony Playstation 5 controller reveal and the final collapse at the ESA’s attempt to keep E3 alive this year.  We round out the episode with talking about some of our favorite video game easter eggs.

The absence of professional sports in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak has left a pretty sizeable void in the world. An unassuming beneficiary of those shutdowns has been World Wrestling Entertainment. Despite performing in front of empty arenas, they and their competitors are the one mass live entertainment enterprise still producing new live content. Any WWE fan and even casual observers can tell you that the entire wrestling calendar revolves around Wrestlemania. The annual April mega show is not just a WWE showcase.
