Jul 11, 2020

We bring you a special episode of Flashbacks where we are going to be talking to a man who has made a tremendous impact on a few films that have been talked about previously on the Front Row Network and a few more slated for the next few years. We had the honor and the privilege to speak with Capt. Dale Dye. Capt. Dye has worked on more than fifty movies and TV shows including several Academy Award and Emmy winning productions.

Walt Disney Studios

Leslie Iwerks is an Oscar and Emmy-nominated documentary director and producer. Many of her films shed light on global issues, while others intrigue audiences with a behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment industry.

She has produced several films for Walt Disney Studios, which is fitting given her grandfather, Ub Iwerks, worked with Walt Disney as an animator, inventor and special-effects technician. He is also the man behind the first animation of Mickey Mouse.

World Wrestling Entertainment

WWE has pushed forward in the months since the COVID-19 outbreak in the US. It hasn't been easy but they've been able to build on some storylines and give us one of the best champions we've had in a long time in Drew McIntyre. We've seen yet another evolution in these live shows as WWE has now taken to adding a limited audience by having upwards of 50 WWE trainees at social distances in the arena while separating the ring with plexiglass panels. It's added much to retrieving the old feeling of having a crowd and we might even have more evolution that we'll talk about later.

Animated Life, LLC

It’s June, and Floyd Norman is about to celebrate his 85th birthday.

For most, a birthday is a time of self-reflection, but for Norman, he need only “press play” to review his life story. That is because his career as an animator is the subject of the 2016 documentary “Floyd Norman: An Animated Life” codirected by Michael Fiore and Erik Sharkey.

The Front Row Network’s Beyond the Mouse Podcast interviewed him about the documentary, as well as his life, career and what is in store after turning 85.

In this new feature, Super GG Radio & Friends every month are here to give you some recommendations of what virtual fun that’s captured our attention, and why it might be good for you!

Phil Orona:

F1 2019 (Playstation 4)

Why: I love racing games! Also because this is the game that Formula 1 is using for their virtual racing series during the pandemic and I am a huge Formula 1 fan.
