Downtown student housing -  Bluffstone LLC says expect to have first UIS grad students living there this fall; Bluffstone will be taking applications this spring.

Next step for rail consolidation - Mayor Jim Langfelder and County Board Chairman Andy Van Meter say a new plan is near to focus state money on 10th Street consolidation; unlike the last time, not contingent on federal money.

Metro East banking - Town and Country Bank of Springfield has agreed to acquire a second bank in the Metro East St. Louis market (Fairview Heights) Bank of Springfield in that market too.
