New Efforts To Track Antibiotic Resistance

This week is "Get Smart about Antibiotics Week." It's meant to address the fact that a large amount of antibiotics are used inappropriately, which can lead to what are known as "super bugs". The Downstate Illinois Partnership Against Antibiotic Resistance has launched a new website meant to raise awareness about the problem and connect researchers from various disciplines, like agriculture and water maintenance. WUIS talked with the founder of the group, Wayne Mathews, about the issue and what he's doing to combat it:
