Dr. Porter has been studying and teaching religion at Illinois College since 2000. He enjoys bicycling, scuba diving, and sailing. Traveling, especially to ancient archaeological sites, is another passion. He also keeps bees as a hobby. Dr. Porter appreciates NPR for bringing the world to his ears.
