Retro-voiced country singer Nikki Lane makes her first appearance on Mountain Stage. A high-school dropout, Lane left her native Greenville, S.C., for Los Angeles, and found herself dabbling in the fashion industry. After five years, she was offered a corporate job in New York City, where she began to immerse herself in the music of Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn.
After writing an album's worth of original material, Lane came to Nashville to record; there, she was discovered by the indie label IAMSOUND. Now living in Nashville full time, Lane also owns and operates a vintage clothing store called High Class Hillbilly. Her first full-length album is titled Walk of Shame.
