Business Report: Is Springfield's Gambling Market Saturated?

SJ-R.com

Sean Crawford talks with the State Journal-Register Business Editor Tim Landis.

This week:

* S&P and Moody's downgrades: Surprise wasn't that they downgraded, but just how fast it happened. One day after session ended.  Downgrades are costing the state more to borrow money.

* Video gambling: Appears to have reached the saturation point in Springfield, even as there's serious discussion of a downtown casino.

* BOS Center: Signage going up this week on now-former Prairie Capital Convention Center through a naming rights deal; $150,000 a year for 10 years.
