WUIS/SJ-R Business Report: Video Gambling Keeps Growing In Springfield; Norb Andy's Closes Again

SJ-R.com

Each week, State Journal-Register Business Editor Tim Landis joins us to talk about area business news.

This week:

* Springfield keeps adding video gaming terminals.  With more than 500 in place, the capital city has the most of any Illinois town.

* Norb Andy's is closing again.  Owners of the downtown bar and restaurant say a loss of space for vehicles and overall parking difficulty is behind the decision.  The latest incarnation lasted less than 6 months. The building's owner says he plans to re-open.

* And we discuss Community Supported Agriculture.  CSA's have grown in popularity with the local food movement.   Basically, you buy a "membership" and are paid back in fresh produce planted, tended and harvested by the CSA. There are more than 180 of them in Illinois.
