The Hoogland Center for the Arts production of Dreamgirls runs August 22–25 and August 29–31. Director Nattalyee Randall and Calia Cole, who portrays Effie White, spoke with Community Voices to discuss the production and its exploration of important themes such as gender and racial issues, the cost of fame, and betrayal.
