Sheila Walk, executive director of the Springfield Area Arts Council, joins Bea Bonner to explain the role of the Arts Council in central Illinois. Theif mission is to enrich the community by providing creative opportunities to participate in and enjoy the arts by supporting art and cultural initiatives in Springfield and surrounding communities.

Sheila Walk is an educator and nonprofit leader who previously taught at Ursuline Academy and is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University.
