How to prepare people who help children is the focus of the conversation with the the UIS Child Protection Training Academy (CPTA) director Betsey Goulet. The CPTA is part of the UIS Center for State Policy and Leadership along with NPR Illinois. An older house on University Drive is the Residential Simulation Lab used with actors for training. Goulet notes the need for actors. Those interested in helping as actors can email her at bgoul2@uis.edu.

Randy Eccles is thrilled to be talking with community members and joining them in becoming informed citizenry. Please reach out at randy.eccles@nprillinois.org.
