UPDATE: Victim Of Wal Mart Crash Dies From Injuries; Suspect's Name Released

A 26 year old woman has died from injuries sustained in an accident in a Wal Mart parking lot last night, policy say.   She was identified as Lindsey Sharp of Springfield.  The Sangamon County Coroner says Sharp died at 11:15 a.m. Friday.  Police indicated she had suffered a serious head injury.

The accident happened at the Wal Mart along South Sixth Street in Springfield, just after 6 p.m.

Police say a car driven by 31 year old Antione Willis of Springfield was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck a parked car and three pedestrians, including Sharp.   They were thrown to the pavement and the vehicle continued on before Willis reportedly stopped and got out.  Willis has been charged with Aggravated DUI and additional charges are possible.

A 37 year old male and a 5 year old boy were also hurt.  The man was treated and released.  The child suffered a broken arm.  Their names are not being released at this time.

Note: The Sangamon County Coroner has corrected the spelling of Ms. Sharp's first name.
