Wild Child On World Cafe

Wild Child.

The Austin band Wild Child formed in 2010 when songwriters Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins discovered that they wrote better together than separately. That dynamic is evident in the new material they've crafted for Wild Child's third album, Fools.

Wilson's recent split from her fiancé of five years — and her own parents' divorce — sparked some of her most somber lyrics. But, as often happens with Wild Child, they became attached to some of the pair's most upbeat melodies. Hear a few of those songs, performed live for World Cafe, on this page.
