Both HSHS and Memorial Health have announced the changes.

“The best prevention is early detection, and a mammography screening can help detect the early signs of breast cancer before it can be felt,” said Kristi Smith, mammography facilitator and breast care navigator at HSHS St. John’s Hospital.

The system has been down since Aug. 27 due to a cyberattack.

Systems went down on Sunday Aug. 28.

The outage has affected various systems, including clinical and communications, within the medical group since Sunday Aug. 25.

The outage was first recognized on Sunday. There is no timetable for resolving the problem.

HSHS added masking is still mandatory in all healthcare facilities for all patients, visitors and colleagues.
