StoryCorps Illinois: The Great Thanksgiving Listen
In partnership with StoryCorps we're asking high school students to take part in The Great Thanksgiving Listen. Students are are asked to record interviews with relatives and upload them to StoryCorps online.
StoryCorps founder Dave Isay opened the first StoryBooth in Grand Central Station in New York. StoryCorps now airs each Friday during Morning Edition sharing the voices and stories of all types of people. The recording are then archived online and in the Library of Congress.
Starting in December, we'll select The Great Thanksgiving Listen recordings from Illinois high schoolers and air them.
