Isabela Nieto
Statehouse ReporterIsabela Nieto is a statehouse reporter for the Illinois Public Broadcasters collaboration.
She started as a student reporter at NPR Illinois in 2024. In 2025, Isabela was WBEZ's statehouse reporting intern as part of the University of Illinois Springfield Public Affairs Reporting master's program. After time reporting in Wisconsin, she joined the IBP statehouse collaboration in February 2026, returning to Springfield.
