More than an internship program working to keep students in Sangamon County | Community Voices

sangamonceo.com

Sangamon CEO is a program opening area businesses to high school students to help them learn entrepreneurship. The program has some students reconsidering whether they want to head to bigger cities. The acronym means Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities.

Community Voices features another Citizens Club of Springfield event – SangamonCEO Entrepreneurial Education. We’ll hear from:

  • Bruce Sommer, UIS Director of Economic Development and Innovation
  • Nabih Elhajj, Executive Director of iVenturED and Lead Facilitator of SangamonCEO
  • Jorge Villegas, UIS Associate Dean of Business and Management Administration
  • Current students and Sangmon CEO alumni
Randy Eccles is thrilled to be talking with community members and joining them in becoming informed citizenry. Please reach out at randy.eccles@nprillinois.org.
