In line with the Citizens Club of Springfield's mission of promoting civic discourse and educational programs about events and issues impacting residents, this program aims to highlight the history of immigration in the US, contributions made by diverse immigrant groups in Springfield as well as challenges faced. Panelists include Elizabeth Brago Boateng, UIS graduate student; Brooke Depenbusch, UIS professor; Yves Doumen, founder of Motherland Gardens; Veronica Espina, founder of Springfield Immigrant Advocacy Network; and Xuna Hu, Realtor. The moderator will be Dr. David Steward.
