Equity Advocate: Springfield Community Relations - A Conversation with Ethan Posey - March 27

Ethan Posey, Director of the Springfield’s Community Relations Department, will discuss with retired journalist Bernie Schoenburg new initiatives and ongoing work which are designed to ensure city residents fair treatment. The Citizens Club invites you to hear Posey address concerns related to discrimination, civil rights, and quality of life including landlord-tenant issues, complaints related to employment discrimination, and support for unhoused individuals.The office also oversees the Community Outreach Team. Posey has spearheaded efforts to improve quality of life in underserved areas, to help spur homeownership through rehabilitation of dilapidated properties on the east side, and to provide training and resources to minority business owners and nonprofit leaders. He serves as the city liaison to the Disabilities Commission and the Police Community Review Board.
