Illinois Republicans On Trump — With Him Or Against Him?

Trump by Michael Vadon/Flickr / Rauner by Brian Mackey/WUIS

Now that it seems Donald Trump will be his party’s nominee for president, Republicans have a decision to make.

That’s particularly true in a "blue state" like Illinois, where some of Trump’s most anti-immigrant and misogynist comments are not expected to play well with the general electorate.

We talk about the various ways Illinois Republicans are responding to Trump with Tony Arnold, who covers Illinois politics for Chicago public radio station WBEZ.

Brian Mackey hosts The 21st Show and formerly reported on state government.
