Democrats in the Illinois legislature fell one vote short of being able to undo governor Bruce Rauner's cuts to state daycare subsidies, with democratic state representative Ken Dunkin of Chicago facing criticism for allying himself with the republican governor. However, Rauner says he'll restore much of that funding on his own. Meanwhile, plans are still being made for a possible meeting between the governor and legislative leaders in the coming week - the first since May. Mike Riopell of the Daily Herald joins the panel.
