Business Report: SDAT 5 Years Later; Trump And Ag; Schuyler Co. Hog Farm

FLICKR/PASA47

Sean Crawford talks with Business Editor Tim Landis of the State Journal-Register.

* SDAT at 5: Five years this month since an outside planning team made a laundry list of improvements for revitalizing the commercial-historic district downtown. There has been progress on housing, TIF district extension. But less so on plazas, bike trails and the like.

* Agriculture and the Trump administration: Illinois farm groups pleased by the regulatory approach of the new administration; not so much on trade and immigration.

* Schuyler County Hog Farm: Controversy over a proposed commercial hog farm near Rushville has revived the issue of state. vs. local control of hog-farm siting.
