Sean Crawford talks with State Journal-Register Business Editor Tim Landis.

* Central Illinois exports: Trade debate in D.C. hits close to home for variety of regional industries, and not just agriculture.

* Jefferson Crossing TIF: A decade after a district was created for the commercial retail development at Veterans and Jefferson, no development and a city pledge of $9.2M expired in December. Developer says he still wants to complete the project but would have to come back for new TIF deal, if so.

* Rail money; $14 million announced in July for next phase of rail consolidation is hung up, at least temporarily, between administrations in D.C. Local officials trying to get a meeting with U.S. D.O.T. to make sure project keeps moving
