Sean Crawford talks with the State Journal-Register's Tim Landis for our weekly business report.

This week:

* Oil pipeline jobs: 600 to 800 in Jacksonville area as work begins on Dakota Express Pipeline; campgrounds, RV parks booked up for a few months at least; oil is supposed to flow by end of year; pipeline will carry oil from North Dakota to Illinois.

* Tourism survey: Springfield Convention Visitors Bureau/U of I finds visitors like our history, family friendly activities and affordability; not such much when it comes to outdoors, scenery (apparently not fans of corn and soybeans) and entertainment.

* Norb Andy's: New owner (who also owns the building) going to try try again with longtime political hangout; fifth operator in a little more than five years.

*Illini Bank/United Community Bank: Two of oldest banks in the region are merging after Illini shareholders rejected earlier merger with Morton Community Bank.
