As Pandemic Continues, Cities And Towns Consider Budget Cuts, Furloughs

The COVID-19 pandemic is expected to cut into nearly every source of local government revenue, from utility payments to taxes on hotel rooms, retail sales and restaurant meals.

Now, many municipalities are considering how to tighten their budgets for the fiscal year that begins July 1. Jay Price of WUNC reports.
