NPR Illinois Foreign & Independent Film Series Committee Seeks Suggestions

Ran movie poster

The NPR Illinois Foreign & Independent Film Series takes place every semester at the University of Illinois Springfield's Brookens Auditorium with one movie shown each month.

The committee will be planning the spring series shortly - and they would like to hear from you! If you have suggestions for movies that would be of interest to UIS and the local community, please e-mail them to studentlife@uis.edu. Feel free to include movie descriptions, websites, etc. (if available) to assist the committee in making its decisions.

The committee will select movies based on the following criteria:

  • The movie must be a foreign or independent film.
  • The movies suggested should be new releases or ones that are considered ‘classics’.
  • The series will include a mix of independent and foreign films, with no one language (in the foreign films) predominant.
  • Preference given to award-winning, or potentially award-winning, movies.

For more information, contact the Student Life Office at 206-4762.

Please submit movie suggestions to studentlife@uis.edu by Thursday, December 20th.
