Why Foreign Assistance Matters: American Leadership in a Changing World - April 14

Chris Milligan, retired Senior Foreign Service Officer with USAID will share his perspective on why foreign assistance is vital to America’s national interest. He will discuss the importance of USAID’s mission and how supporting a stable and prosperous world advances U.S. security and prosperity, particularly amid today’s global challenges and a changing world order.
Milligan served more than 30 years at USAID advancing U.S. development and humanitarian goals, particularly in crisis and political transition settings. Over the course of his career, he led major initiatives that strengthened the effectiveness of U.S. foreign assistance and advanced American foreign policy priorities.
