Who’s Planning for Springfield’s Future and How is that Working Out? - July 25

There are a couple changes to the previously submitted program description. This is not a duplicate. Here is the updated version:

Join the Citizens Club on Friday, July 25th as club president, Joyce Nardulli, engages in this conversation with Molly Berns, recently retired Executive Director of the Springfield/Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission. What is the RPC? When did it originate and why do we need it? We will learn about the distinct divisions within the RPC and what they do. We will also learn how the RPC works with other groups such as the Community Foundation, UIS, DSI and the Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance to gather data to plan for the future of our community. Finally, we hope the conversation will help the citizens of Springfield and Sangamon County to better understand how they can engage in the planning and add their input for the future of our area over the next 20 years.

Arrive any time after 7:30 a.m. to enjoy complimentary coffee sponsored by Ann Hamilton.
