The Scene Gets In The Holiday/Punk Spirit

Listen up!

Events discussed this week include a host of holiday shows coming up The Hoogland, as well as the O Sole Trio playing a Christmas show at Sangamon Auditorium  and a review of Christmas favorites sung by some of the best local singers at The Legacy Theatre.

Outside of the world of all the is holiday-themed:

  • On Friday night starting at 8, Cafe Brio will host an art show featuring local talent, info here.
  • A punk band with a legacy over 2 decades long is coming to town to play with local favorites, The Timmys. The Queers play Bar None on Wed. night. Info here.
  • Adult coloring is a trend in full force and it's hitting the Springfield scene. You can 'Color with Friends' on Wed night. Info here.

Scott suggests the new show, 'Man in the High Castle':

Rachel suggests the book of poetry on racial injustice called Citizen by Claudia Rankine. It was in the news out of Springfield not too long ago and went viral. Here Rankine is reading from her work:
