The Scene With Guest Host Crazy Talented Brandon Carnes

Rachel Otwell/WUIS

For as much as we talk about him and the several things he has a part in ( ie: Black Sheep, F**k Mountain, Looming, South Town Studio...) it's actually pretty amazing Scott and I haven't had Brandon Carnes in-studio yet. He couldn't have come at a better time. This week, he tells us about Looming's record release show on Friday, his incredibly absurd and offensive project called Diaper Rash (which some would also call quality performance art), and what it's been like taking over Black Sheep in Southtown. Tune in!

Events discussed this week include:

  • Looming album release show at Black Sheep. Info here.
  • Jane Eyre: The Musical opens in New Salem. Info here.
  • Friday night a new art exhibit opens with a show at DEMO Project Gallery with another show at the same time across the way at the SAA. Info here.
  • An art show is at Black Sheep on Saturday night. Info here.
  • The Refuge community center in Pana is opening with music and more fun on Saturday. Info here.
  • A roller derby double-header is going down in Decatur on Saturday night. Info here.
