A few weeks ago comedian John Early answered trivia questions about the Brady Bunch. So when cartoonist Keith Knight and his sister Tracy also requested a Brady Bunch game, the research was already done.

OPHIRA EISENBERG, HOST:
We have another game for you because, you know - this is what happened. When we ask guests, we go, hey. You're going to come on the show, and we'd love to play a game with you. What are you into? You said, "Brady Bunch."
KEITH KNIGHT: I did say "Brady Bunch" because when we were growing up, my two sisters - we had a station called Channel 56 that would rerun "The Brady Bunch," I think, twice a day, like, back to back. And...
EISENBERG: You watched it all the time.
K KNIGHT: So we would have to watch it, like, every day.
EISENBERG: Tracy, did you watch a lot of "Brady Bunch" because you liked it?
TRACY KNIGHT: Yeah.
EISENBERG: Oh.
T KNIGHT: I don't know why.
K KNIGHT: Of course.
T KNIGHT: I watched that.
K KNIGHT: Yeah.
T KNIGHT: I watched "Gilligan's Island."
K KNIGHT: Oh, yeah.
T KNIGHT: I watched "Partridge Family."
K KNIGHT: Now, "Gilligan's Island" is a very problematic show because I don't understand why anyone thought that people in quicksand was funny.
EISENBERG: Oh, that was everything. Oh, you're right.
JONATHAN COULTON, BYLINE: A few times a week...
K KNIGHT: Yeah.
COULTON: ...Somebody would fall in quicksand.
K KNIGHT: (Laughter) Yeah. Yeah.
EISENBERG: So we're putting your "Brady Bunch" knowledge to the test in a true-false game called A Very Brady Trivia Sequel. Our listeners may remember we recently played a "Brady Bunch" game with John Early. Who knew the subject would come up again so soon?
(LAUGHTER)
K KNIGHT: There you go. There you go.
EISENBERG: OK. Tracy, the first one is for you. True or false - Ann B. Davis, who played Alice the housekeeper, has an identical twin sister.
T KNIGHT: She has a twin. And did you mean in real life or on the show?
K KNIGHT: (Laughter).
EISENBERG: In real life. In real life.
T KNIGHT: True, I guess.
EISENBERG: True is correct. Yes. And they did have a episode that featured Alice's identical cousin Emma, but that character actually was also played...
T KNIGHT: By Ann B. Davis.
EISENBERG: I guess...
COULTON: Yeah.
EISENBERG: ...'Cause her twin didn't go to acting school.
COULTON: Maybe she couldn't act.
EISENBERG: Yeah, maybe.
COULTON: Yeah. All right, Keith. This one is for you.
K KNIGHT: No pressure.
COULTON: The dad...
K KNIGHT: No pressure.
COULTON: ...Mike Brady...
K KNIGHT: Yeah.
COULTON: ...Does not appear in the final episode of "The Brady Bunch" because actor Robert Reed objected to the episode's implausible storyline about a bottle of hair tonic that turns Greg's hair bright orange - true or false?
K KNIGHT: I would say false.
T KNIGHT: It's true.
EISENBERG: (Laughter).
K KNIGHT: Are you serious?
COULTON: Tracy is right. It is absolutely true.
K KNIGHT: All right.
COULTON: Yeah. How did you know that, Tracy?
EISENBERG: Yeah. How did you know?
T KNIGHT: I am a pile of useless information right here.
K KNIGHT: (Laughter).
COULTON: It's not useless.
EISENBERG: Not anymore.
COULTON: It's paying off.
EISENBERG: Not anymore.
COULTON: Paying off in a big way.
EISENBERG: All right. Tracy, the oldest brother Greg's role was reduced in a Season 4 episode when actor Barry Williams arrived to the set completely stoned - true or false?
T KNIGHT: I'm going to say false.
EISENBERG: It's true.
K KNIGHT: Whoa.
EISENBERG: Yeah. Williams totally admits to this. He says that it was his day off, but he was suddenly called back for reshoots.
T KNIGHT: Wow.
K KNIGHT: Oh.
COULTON: I mean, who among us...
K KNIGHT: Yeah. Yeah. You know.
EISENBERG: (Laughter).
(SOUNDBITE OF CUCKOO CLOCK CHIMING)
COULTON: Oh.
T KNIGHT: There's the cuckoo clock.
COULTON: There's the cuckoo clock.
K KNIGHT: There's the cuckoo clock.
COULTON: And you know what that sound means. It's time for your last question.
K KNIGHT: Exactly.
(LAUGHTER)
COULTON: Keith, this is for you. The youngest brother, Bobby Brady, was played by Mike Lookinland, and Mike Lookinland's son played Mike Lookinland in a TV movie about the making of "The Brady Bunch."
K KNIGHT: No. No, he didn't because wouldn't they have to dye his hair blond like they did Mike Lookinland, who was blond in the original one?
EISENBERG: That's going to stop things? That's your - that's going to stop things in Hollywood?
T KNIGHT: That plausibility...
K KNIGHT: That's - OK.
T KNIGHT: ...Is going to stop this?
K KNIGHT: That's true. OK. OK. It's true.
COULTON: (Laughter) You are right. I begrudgingly give you the point. It is true.
K KNIGHT: OK.
T KNIGHT: Just for the record, they dyed Mike Lookinland's hair brown.
K KNIGHT: Yeah.
T KNIGHT: He was already blond.
COULTON: Oh, he was blond.
T KNIGHT: Oh, you said...
COULTON: And they dyed it brown.
K KNIGHT: Yeah. He was blond.
T KNIGHT: Yeah.
K KNIGHT: Yeah. That's what I meant to say. He's blond.
T KNIGHT: Oh, OK.
K KNIGHT: And they had to do it...
T KNIGHT: Just checking.
K KNIGHT: ...Fake brown. Yeah.
EISENBERG: (Laughter).
T KNIGHT: I'm going to go with that I won, I'm hoping.
K KNIGHT: She did win.
T KNIGHT: Thank you.
K KNIGHT: I don't know what I'm going to tell my kids, but...
COULTON: (Laughter).
K KNIGHT: You know, Auntie Tracy won.
EISENBERG: I think you can say that you won the first game, and Auntie Tracy won the second game.
K KNIGHT: Oh.
T KNIGHT: Yes.
K KNIGHT: That's a great way of saying that.
EISENBERG: See?
K KNIGHT: That's a reasonable way of saying it.
T KNIGHT: I was very impressed with the first game. I think that's so cool that you knew what it is that you've been doing for...
K KNIGHT: Yeah.
T KNIGHT: ...Forty years.
(LAUGHTER)
K KNIGHT: There you go.
EISENBERG: Wow.
COULTON: That's a real backhanded compliment right there.
EISENBERG: That was great.
(LAUGHTER)
EISENBERG: Thank you so much for joining us. Keith Knight, Tracy Knight, thank you.
T KNIGHT: Thank you.
EISENBERG: Keith's new show "Woke" is streaming on Hulu. After the break - we are so excited. RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan is here, and he'll play a game that we've been looking forward to for a long time. It's called Is It a Lizard? with RZA. I'm Ophira Eisenberg, and this is ASK ME ANOTHER from NPR. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
