ALPLM To Display Rare Copy Of The Thirteenth Amendment

This Sunday is the 150th anniversary of the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The amendment banned slavery in America.

To commemorate the event, The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum will display a copy of the amendment signed by Lincoln.

Illinois Issues editor Jamey Dunn talked with Lincoln Collection Curator James Cornelius about the exhibit.

The copy of the 13th Amendment will be on display starting this Sunday through December 28  as part of the larger exhibit, "Undying Words: Lincoln 1858-1865."
