Business Report: Fracking Permit Filed; Kidzeum To Begin Construction; Sherwood Plaza Update

This week:

* The first permit for fracking in Illinois has been filed.  It’s for a site in southern Illinois.

* Sherwood Plaza-Kmart on Wabash: Renovation work has begun  Permits show Outback Steakhouse, Burlington Coat Factory and Binny's Beverage Depot as initial tenants.

* Kidzeum of Science and Industry: Has asked county board to approve nearly $2.4 million in economic-development revenue bonds, which puts that project over the top after eight-year, $6.9 million in fundraising; Construction kickoff Thursday.
