Illinois Issues Forum logo

NPR Illinois and WDCB hosted an Illinois Issues Forum on the state budget and how it has impacted DuPage County on May 23.

A panel of experts discussed the implications of Illinois’ ongoing budget impasse featuring:

  • Angela Adkins, Executive Director, NAMI DuPage (National Alliance on Mental Illness)
  • Julie Yurko, CEO, Northern Illinois Food Bank
  • Kirk Dillard, Chairman, Regional Transportation Authority

Moderator:  Brian O'Keefe, WDCB News Director

The panelists discussed the sometimes hidden ways the lack of a state spending plan is hurting Illinois.  Dillard says it might not seem like it now … but these issues have the potential to affect all residents.
