Business Report: Chatham Water Update; SMTD Change Coming; Obed & Isaac's Now In Peoria

Village Voices of Chatham

Sean Crawford talks with the State Journal-Register Business Editor Tim Landis.

This week:

* SMTD off-street terminal - Demolition should begin soon at former Greco Sales Inc. buildings at 9th and Adams toward goal of moving passenger transfer center from Sixth and Capitol by summer of 2017.

* Chatham water main flushing - Tim talked to other communities that routinely flush entire water systems and what it does and does not accomplish; critics of Chatham water not convinced it will work to improve water quality.

*Obed & Isaac's Peoria location - Now open; also in a restored downtown structure, a former church.  More expansion is possible in the future.
