With Broadway shuttered and its workers unable to make money, an old organization is trying to help. The Actors Fund was established in 1882 and helps members of the entertainment community in need.
Every year, the fund distributes about $2 million. But in the past three months, the fund has distributed over $13 million. NPR’s Jeff Lunden reports.
