The October program will focus on the Downtown Springfield & Mid-Illinois Medical District Master Plan. The Master Plan is a collaboration among the City of Springfield, Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln, Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance, Downtown Springfield, Inc., and the Mid-Illinois Medical District. The speaker will be Josh Koonce from Hoseal Lavigne, the urban planning firm that provided guidance on the development of the plan. A representative from the city and from the Mid-Illinois Medical District will be available.

Meet the Speaker:
Josh Koonce is a Practice Lead with Houseal Lavigne who has managed successful planning projects in Illinois, Indiana, Colorado, Alabama, Wisconsin, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Josh’s approach to any assignment is anchored by clear communication and a people-oriented perspective to community planning. Josh has been with Houseal Lavigne for six years. Before joining Houseal Lavigne he worked as a staff planner and zoning coordinator for the Village of Maywood near Chicago. He is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners and an active APA member.
