Is it time to raise or scrap the Social Security cap?

The wealthiest earners have already stopped contributing to Social Security this year because they’ve reached the limit on the amount of earnings subject to Social Security taxes.

We speak with Emma Curchin, domestic outreach and research assistant at the Center for Economic and Policy Research, about proposals to raise or scrap the Social Security tax cap.
