Lincoln Library

Tiffany Roe is the president of the Lincoln Library Alliance. She spoke to Community Voices about the Alliance and how it supports not only the librarians but also the visitors of the library. She also shared unique programs that book lovers can participate in at the Lincoln Library.

Harris will assume the job in June while a national search takes place.

Curtis Mann is the City Historian and runs the Sangamon Valley Collection at the Lincoln Library. Stephanie Martin is a librarian at the Sangamon Valley Collection. The spoke to Community Voices about their experience helping locals explore their ancestry and providing documents for film and TV. They also shared their upcoming projects and how the Lincoln Library supports the community with its various offerings.

Existing computers at the site are between seven and ten years old. Many of the public computers are unstable.

Summer Griffith is the acting director of the Lincoln Library, and Emily Stone is the assistant director. They spoke to Community Voices about the various programming offered at the Lincoln Library all summer long including the return of the “bubble bus.”
