The APL is joining hundreds of animal shelters and rescues across the country participating in the ASPCA’s Rescue Effect campaign to raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption/fostering and place more animals into loving homes.

The storm late Wednesday destroyed the APL shelter on Springfield's north end.

The animals are safe, but there is a need for additional foster homes.
