Jason Piscia is an associate professor and director of UIS’ Public Affairs Reporting program. He is a 1998 PAR graduate who returned to the University of Illinois Springfield following a 21-year career at The State Journal-Register (SJ-R).

Dr. Ann Strahle is the Interim Associate Dean for the College of Public Affairs and Education and an Associate Professor for the School of Communication and Media at the University of Illinois Springfield.

Ben Singson became a reporter for the Jacksonville Journal-Courier in 2022, joining after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia. The Lindenhurst native previously reported for KBIA, an NPR affiliate radio station, in college.

David Blanchette has been involved in journalism since 1979, first as an award-winning broadcaster, then a state government spokesperson, and now as a freelance writer and photographer. He was involved in the development of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and more recently the Jacksonville Area Museum. David and his wife, Sue, live in Petersburg.
