CLASSICS: Citizen Kane 80th Anniversary

RKO Radio Pictures

Front Row Classics is celebrating a film that many historians/critics consider to be the finest film ever made, Citizen Kane. The film, released 80 years ago this week, has remained a standard bearer for all that came after. We covered this film on Classics back in 2018, but this special anniversary episode brings us two new perspectives. Eric considers Kane his favorite movie and finally gets a chance to break down his perspectives. We also hear from Front Row Flashbacks, Eric McCabe who recently saw the film for the first time. The hosts' get to dive deep into the backstory and details of the film, which a normal episode discussion may not always allow. If you've seen Citizen Kane for the first or twenty-first time, you'll definitely want to give this episode a listen.

Brandon Davis is the host of Classics and Zone-i-Sodes on the Front Row Network. A true fan of cinema history, Brandon holds the distinction of being the official film historian of the Network.
