With the holidays around the corner, NPR Illinois will broadcast a couple December traditions listeners of the station will find familiar.

On Christmas eve enjoy A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, live from Cambridge England.
The service includes carols and readings from the Bible. The broadcast will feature the opening carol 'Once in Royal David's City' and there is always a new, specially commissioned carol.

On Christmas Day bask in a two-hour holiday special hosted by Nightsounds' Dave Leonatti.
Music featured will be holiday-themed contemporary and classic Christmas music.
