STEVE LAWRENCE: (Singing) I've gotta be me.

LEILA FADEL, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Leila Fadel. Crooner Steve Lawrence, who sang hits including "I've Gotta Be Me" and "Go Away Little Girl" has died. He was 88 years old. For decades, Lawrence was part of a singing duo, Steve and Eydie, with his wife Eydie Gorme, who died in 2013. In addition to his long recording career, Lawrence also appeared in Broadway musicals, television shows and films, including "The Blues Brothers."
