Elizabeth “Liz” Baier is WUNC’s Digital News Editor. She joined the station in May 2016 after eight year of reporting for Minnesota Public Radio News where she covered everything from demographic changes in rural America, agriculture, the environment and health care. Prior to that, Liz worked for six years as a newspaper reporter in South Florida, both at the Miami Herald and South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Stephannie Stokes is a producer at WABE’s features desk. The title, “producer,” can mean a lot of things, but her focus is on telling stories. On WABE, you might hear her reporting about a lesser known part of Atlanta’s history, while another day you might catch a sound portrait she produced about a person or place in the region.

Health News Florida reporter Abe Aboraya works for WMFE in Orlando. He started writing for newspapers in high school. After graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2007, he spent a year traveling and working as a freelance reporter for the Seattle Times and the Seattle Weekly, and working for local news websites in the San Francisco Bay area. Most recently Abe worked as a reporter for the Orlando Business Journal. He comes from a family of health care workers.

Jonathan Ahl reports from Missouri for Harvest Public Media. He also is the Rolla Reporter for St. Louis Public Radio. Before coming to St. Louis Public Radio in November of 2018, Jonathan was the General Manager for Tri States Public Radio in Macomb, Illinois. He previously was the News Director at Iowa Public Radio and before that at WCBU in Peoria, Illinois. Jonathan has also held reporting positions in central Illinois for public radio stations. Jonathan is originally from the Chicago area. He has a B.A. in Music Theory and Composition from Western Illinois University and an M.A. in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield. He is an avid long distance runner, semi-professional saxophonist and die-hard Chicago Cubs fan.

For more than 25 years Joel Sucherman (he/him) has been helping to usher in the new ways we experience news and information. As NPR's Vice President for New Platform Partnerships, Sucherman guides strategy and leads the teams that build NPR's presence on voice assistants, connected cars, TVs and other emerging platforms. During his tenure he has developed a growing number of strategic partnerships and has shaped and implemented public radio's growing presence on voice-activated platforms such as Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, Bixby, and Cortana. Under Sucherman's leadership, NPR has become a preeminent brand on smart speakers, with millions of listeners each month. In his previous role as head of product, Sucherman's teams were also responsible for conceiving of, and building, NPR One, a platform that uses a combination of human curation and algorithms to provide a personalized radio news/podcast experience.
