Roehrs, who is a re-enactor who has photographed war re-enactments, has World War I-inspired photos of re-enactors displayed in the exhibit “Have you forgotten yet? 100 Years Since the Armistice” at LLCC’s James S. Murray Gallery. She’s digital engagement producer at NPR Illinois.

Among photographer Lizzie Roehrs' favorite World War I-inspired re-enactment photos she has displayed in an exhibit at Lincoln Land Community College is one that features a Polish solider re-enactor helping another soldier wrap a strip of cloth around his lower leg.Called a "puttee," the cloth helps prevent debris from entering boots."In a lot of pictures in wartime, you don't see a lot of just people helping each other.
