The new documentary "A Most Beautiful Thing" is a tale that is very prescient in our current world. Director Mary Mazzio and subject Arshay Cooper took some time to sit down with the Network's Jeremy Goeckner to talk about making the film and the various messages it deals with.

The film chronicles the first African American high school rowing team in the nation (made up of young men from the West Side of Chicago, many of whom were from rival gangs, all coming together to row in the same boat.) Based on Arshay Cooper’s self-published memoir.

And for so long the terrain of favorite sons of famous families in places far, far away from the West Side; light years away.” Mary Mazzio’s new documentary A Most Beautiful Thing is about the first African American high school rowing team in the US. At least that’s what you would think at first glance. As the film slowly unfolds it becomes very clear that what this film is up to runs much, much deeper.

INTERVIEW - "Greyhound" Director Aaron Schneider

Apple TV+ has released their biggest movie swing yet with the truly epic and sweeping World War II drama Greyhound. Written by and staring Tom Hanks, this film tells the tale of an American battleship as it attempts to escort a much needed fleet of supply ships across the Atlantic. As the fleet loses air cover in the area known as The Pit, a German U-Boat fleet arrives and starts a deadly chase for survival. We were honored to be able to talk with the director of this fantastic film Mr. Aaron Schneider.

We had the honor and the privilege to speak with Capt. Dale Dye. Capt. Dye has worked on more than fifty movies and TV shows including several Academy Award and Emmy winning productions.

Leslie Iwerks is an Oscar and Emmy-nominated documentary director and producer. Many of her films shed light on global issues, while others intrigue audiences with a behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment industry.

She has produced several films for Walt Disney Studios, which is fitting given her grandfather, Ub Iwerks, worked with Walt Disney as an animator, inventor and special-effects technician. He is also the man behind the first animation of Mickey Mouse.

Why: I have been a huge King of Fighters fan since KoF 94’. It’s a solid series that was never just another Street Fighter wanna be.

What I like: The large colorful backgrounds, well animated characters and great overall fighting system. 

What I would like to see improved: More unlockable characters.

Disney Legend Bob Gurr: The Man Behind the Motion

Disneyland, “The happiest place on Earth,” is known for its attractions, which transport people of all ages into a world of imagination. Park guests can voyage under the sea or even slide down a snow-covered mountain. One man to thank for this is Bob Gurr.

Gurr often quips, “If it moves on wheels at Disneyland, I probably designed it.” He is responsible for more than 200 motion projects throughout his career with 100 of those projects created for the Disney Company.
