FLASHBACK - Wes Craven's New Nightmare

Oct 23, 2019
New Line Cinema

#MonsterCast isn't just great because we get to talk all the horror films we can get our hands on! It's also great because we get to welcome back one of our favorite shows! After a long hiatus #Flashback is officially... back! And we're jumping back onto the nostalgia train by looking at Wes Craven's New Nightmare. A demonic force has chosen Freddy Krueger as its portal to the real world. Can Heather Langenkamp play the part of Nancy one last time and trap the evil trying to enter our world?

Walt Disney Pictures

#MonsterCast continues with a crossover event worthy of such an epic month of podcasting! #GuiltyPleasures and #BeyondTheMouse are joining forces to tackle the 2003 Eddie Murphy "comedy" based on the famous Disney World ride, The Haunted Mansion. A realtor and his wife and children are summoned to a mansion, which they soon discover is haunted, and while they attempt to escape, he learns an important lesson about the family he has neglected.

MOVIE REVEIW: "Wounds"

Oct 21, 2019
Two and Two Pictures/Hulu

If you wanted to manufacture the personification of tall, dark, and handsome in a lab, the result would likely resemble Armie Hammer. He's so infuriatingly good-looking, even his voice is handsome, and that doesn’t even make sense (but it totally makes perfect sense). So, his casting as Will, the "man’s man" at the center of Babak Anvari’s new film, Wounds, could not have been more spot-on. A proud Tulane drop-out, Will makes his bones bartending at Rosie’s, a New Orleans hole-in-the-wall with a small, but loyal clientele.

INTERVIEW: "Wounds" Director Babak Anvari

Oct 21, 2019

October and #MonsterCast gets even better this month with a very special episode. We were lucky enough to screen the new #Hulu film #Wounds and the acclaimed director Babak Anvari was good enough to join us for an interview diving deep into the film.

FEATURING: Phil Rockwell

Every October once again brings MONSTERCAST to the Front Row Network! We continue our spotlights with our creature feature by getting thoroughly grossed out be all things Cronenberg in 1986's The Fly. A brilliant but eccentric scientist begins to transform into a giant man/fly hybrid after one of his experiments goes horribly wrong.

FEATURING: Jeremy Goeckner & Sara Baltusevich

Every October once again brings MONSTERCAST to the Front Row Network! We're once again very excited to bring you our personal rankings of the 2nd annual HuluWeen Film Fest. These are 7 horror shorts from up and coming film-makers competing for the top prize of $50,000 toward making their short into a feature film. Which of the shorts tops our list? You'll have to listen to find out!

FEATURING: Jeremy Goeckner & Sara Baltusevich

It's one of the most divisive films of the year and probably one that will be for quite some time after. Joaquin Phoenix brings the character of the Joker to new life in Todd Phillips' truly bleak Gotham City origin one-shot. Now it's time for the #FullDisclosure treatment. In Gotham City, mentally-troubled comedian Arthur Fleck embarks on a downward-spiral of social revolution and bloody crime. This path brings him face-to-face with his infamous alter-ego: "The Joker".

Every October once again brings MONSTERCAST to the Front Row Network! We're excited to kick off the first of our four horror film spotlights for #MonsterCast by taking a look at the entire #ParanormalActivity Franchise. This is one of the most profitable film franchises of all time and changed the game for found footage's mass appeal. Just, you know..... ignore the last 3.

We at the Network are beyond excited to once again kick off October and our annual MonsterCast! This year we've packed the month with more content than ever and we're kicking it all off with a FULL DISCLOSURE of the recent horror fun-fest Ready or Not. A bride's wedding night takes a sinister turn when her eccentric new in-laws force her to take part in a terrifying game.

IMDB PAGE: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7798634/

FEATURING: Jeremy Goeckner & Sara Baltusevich

FULL DISCLOSURE continues it's string of #Mini spoiler reviews by reviewing the PBS storming of the Fall Box Office and the movie adaptation/sequel of the prestige drama Downton Abbey. The continuing story of the Crawley family, wealthy owners of a large estate in the English countryside in the early 20th century.

GUILTY PLEASURES is putting on its hardcore 90s nostalgia glasses and seeing just how guilty the panel can get while watching the Disney "classic" Man of the House from 1995. Starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Chevy Chase, A young boy refuses to accept his mother's new boyfriend, a lawyer, despite the man's attempts to win his respect, while disgruntled relatives of a criminal he prosecuted seek revenge.

CLASSICS returns by diving into the suspenseful world of Alfred Hitchcock once again with the film that many consider his masterpiece: 1958's Vertigo. A former police detective juggles wrestling with his personal demons and becoming obsessed with a hauntingly beautiful woman. We're also beyond psyched to welcome Mr. Eric Flick to the Network for the first time!

Not even a road trip to Wizard World Comic Con Chicago 2019 can keep Craig and Jeremy from giving you the definitive breakdown of all the drama going down between Sony and Disney with Spider-Man.

FEATURING: Craig McFarland & Jeremy Goeckner

Heroes was a show that was pretty ahead of its time according to series star Jack Coleman. "You see it as sort of the template of a lot of shows and movies that are out there now," he told our Front Row Network reporters at the annual Chicago Wizard World Comic-Con. "It borrowed from other comics as well in that, for example, Peter Parker was more interesting than Spider-Man. But all of these people discovering their powers and feeling kind of trapped by them but also embracing them, it really set the stage for a lot of what you see today".

It's time yet again for another knock-down, drag-out movie bracket fight here at the Network! This time we've got the impossible task of sifting through all the amazing and uplifting sports films through the decades to arrive at the greatest to ever be made.

FEATURING: Lou Hare, John Bowser, Tim Tierney, Erin McCabe & Jeremy Goeckner
