Washington County Jail Offers Promising Opioid Program

The barriers to offering drug-based treatment for opioid abuse in jails are two-fold: There aren’t enough prescribing doctors and opioids can be abused in jail.

But a program in Washington state has created a pilot that addresses these issues.
