Medical Marijuana Advocates See Illinois Victory Ahead

Could Illinois be getting closer to legalizing the medical use of marijuana?  Dan Riffle is with the Marijuana Policy Project, which has lobbied state lawmakers to approve the law.  He was a guest on WUIS’ Illinois Edition with Sean Crawford. 

Riffle says marijuana has been shown to help people suffering from certain conditions.  He says there are safeguards built into the legislation and he denies approval would eventually lead to marijuana becoming legal for recreational use:
