Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Foundation's Tiffany Hightower | Community Voices

Tiffany Hightower, executive director of the Illinois Black Legislative Caucus Foundation (IBLCF), joins Bea Bonner to share the foundation's work. The IBLCF has provided over $420,000 in scholarships to deserving students. Additionally, every year, they bring students from around Illinois who reside in ILBC member districts to learn about how state government works in hope their interest is sparked to become civically engaged.

Prior to joining ILBCF, Tiffany Hightower was Director of Operations for Chicago City Treasurer Kurt A. Summers Jr. where she managed the department’s $4.3 million budget. She directed the planning, development, implementation, and administration of initiatives pertaining to human resources and operations. During her career, she also served as the Deputy Director of Community Assistance Programs and as the Executive Director of Developing Communities Project.
